Kelmendi defeated Italy's Odette Giuffrida within the women's 52-kilogram martial art division final in a very tight contest on Sunday that was marked by aggressive grip-fighting as each competitors struggled to urge a decisive hold on the other's uniform.
Kelmendi solely managed to get once, however it had been enough. once her conclusion was proclaimed, Kelmendi hugged Giuffrida so walked off the mat in tears. carrying a blue uniform that matched a number of the state flags being waved within the arena, a watery-eyed Kelmendi waved to the group and raised her arms in conclusion.
